GIVE! The new European program for Senior Volunteers exchanges was launched
SVP: Senior Volunteering Program: this is a European program that supports senior volunteers exchanges. It was launched by the European Commission – D. G. Education and Culture, in the framework of the lifelong learning program 2009.The program finances bilateral exchanges between organizations in Europe. The projects are supposed to last for two years and it is possible to exchange – on a reciprocal basis – between 2 and 6 volunteers over a period of two years. Periods abroad must last between 3 and 8 weeks. Applications must be submitted at National level within the 31st March 2010.
