If I belong to an organisation of the civil society…

Many organisations of the civil society have been hosting and employing senior volunteers from abroad, for the past six years. We refer to associations and Ngo's who work in the social, cultural and environmental area. These organisations were not looking for cheap labour force, but they found that hosting a senior volunteer from abroad could make a difference for their projects. As a matter of fact the volunteer will inter-act with the staff of the hosting organisation but also with the local community starting a human exchange process, that, if well guided can be of tremendous benefit for all those who will deal with these volunteers. It can be an answer to the educational needs of an organisation in terms of intercultural learning and cross generation learning.
